This is a totvery special Time Warp 1989 Carrera 3.2 Sport.
Having recently visited a place with a selection of collectors Porsche for sale, I must say that the key word for this car is that it is authentic. That is what seperates it from the norm. What you see is what it really is, we havent renovated this 911, we have not needed to do much more than wash it and give it a full bumper to bumper service/inspection. As such it is now ready for most anything you can throw at it in our opinion. We are proud of it, and the next owner will be too.
I have not seen one like this for years. It is gorgeous. For me, better than your new 997. It feels so special. It has soul, class and quality. This isn’t a done up 3.2, or a restored car, or one that has been apart too often, its a time warp 911. With the last owner for 20 years when he walked into the local Porsche dealer (back then called Carrs Exeter) and paid £30,000 cash for his ‘as new’ 911. Over the years used a little and carefully. Never damaged, mucked up or abused…. and never needing anyything more than regular servicing.
It has all the original features, the stickers in the right places, the double keys, handbooks, service records, MOT’s double keys, tools, pump even the cleaning kit supplied at purchase.
As an 89 model year it has the 8″ rear fuch which are all ded original and competely unmarked. It has the original tonneau for the hood which looks like its seldom been out of its storage bag, it has a full all over tonneau (the first one I have seen) again like new and in tis storage bag.
Inside original linen coloured carpets, original burgandy overmats, linen coloured leather sports seats (all supple and clean) and black dash (like new). The electric roof is original although we have replaced the rear screen.
This is a unique find which we will not be able to replace. The air cool 3.2 is one of my top 10 ‘fantasy garage’ cars and the last of them from 89 especially interesting.
We have fitted it with a set of brand new correct Bridgestone tyres and supply it thouroughly serviced, from bumper to bumper, guaranteed and ready to enjoy.
You could of course ‘invest’ your money in a new Z4 , and why not, for me though, there is nothing else that rewards like an air cool 911 and the 3.2 is legendary. Take good care of it and I predict your investment will be rock sold in 20 years time. You could enjoy it for the next 20 years and although no guarantees, I would expect your investment to grow as well.
Never to be repeated I fear.
